I just got finished registering to be a donor! We were reminded in nursing school this past week during our lecture on organ donation and transplantation how important organ donation really is. We also are taught in school that it helps the family feel that their loved one gave LIFE to many others.I hope that when I pass away someday I am able to help others and their families, by donating my organs.
It is important for my FAMILY to understand that when I pass away or if brain death occurs, I WISH to donate my organs, otherwise known as an anatomical gift. Please do not hesitate.
I ASK everyone reading this to consider registering. If you do register that isn't a final consent, your FAMILY (next of kin) must give approval for anatomical gift donation; therefore make sure your family knows your wishes!
