Well it is almost 8 am and I am still awake. This is my life on the night shift schedule. My body is having a hard time adjusting back to a normal sleep schedule on my days off. I guess it is ok because I don't have much going on, BUT I would like to feel somewhat normal again...maybe just see the sun for at least a few hours. So, I will go to bed soon..sleep till 3-4pm..then eat breakfast, take a shower, then leave for work at 6:30pm..I will be nervous about going into work because of the anticipation and worry about what kind of patients I might be assigned to..How sick will they be? Will they die under my care? Will I know what to do? How will I handle a bad situation? ....I work the next three nights...so then I will have some time off but will blow most of my day sleeping. By the time I am feeling awake enough to run errands it will be too late to go shopping or take care of business. Grrrrr.....hopefully I get better at this..Hopefully God makes this year go by fast...Family I miss you and love you so much..and yes I even miss the desert and mountains of Arizona..because IT IS HOME!
We have made friends with another couple and they are so awesome. They have a baby and Kraig the hubby works as an ER nurse. He was in our internship program with us. They are from Utah and they are homesick too..At least they understand how we feel ad we understand how they feel.
Well, I should try and sleep now...good morning to everyone. :-)
