Nurse Interviews in Dallas!!

On our way to Dallas for our nurse interviews!

Sick waiting for the shuttle to pick us up to get our rental car...........What a long day! Almost missed our connecting flight in Denver and no lunch.

After we got our rental car we headed on the highway east to go to the hotel. Joey and I at this point were absolutely STARVING! We spotted a Subway and grabbed a late lunch. It had been raining like crazy , as you can tell from the photo. That's our rental car in the background! :-)

Joey and I finally made it to our very NICE hotel room. Thanks Pat!! Then we headed down for some dinner.

The next morning after Joey's interview
we went to downtown Dallas to take
a look around. We LOVED it!

  Luckily we spotted the Dallas Aquarium, this was such a neat place. :-)

Later that day we ventured up north to Plano..There were some pretty neighborhoods we drove through. Old and new!
Joey and I just had to take a picture of the no CELL PHONE sign...Joey breakin' the law.. ;-)

P.S. Thanks to our family for making this trip happen for us. :-) xoxo

Halloween

For Halloween Leah and I last minute decided to throw on a scary mask and pose in chairs as if we were fake. This of course was fun, but it was so HARD trying to stay still for all of the trick or treaters. If given a signal by Jeanene, we would only scare the bigger kids. This of course was SO fun! They all got a kick out of it. Well, except for a few real little ones that wouldn't even come up the drive way to get candy. Therefore, Jeanene had to meet them at the end of the driveway! haha

     The trick or treat session only lasts from 4-6pm. I thought this was really neat, considering it is safer for the kids. Jeanene takes pictures of the kids for the school yearbook where she teaches. They all seemed to really get excited to take their picture for the yearbook. I remember those days. hehe

=============================================================
Of course we had to dress the pooches up for a minute!! They were so cute! Here are the girls:

"Mini the Lady Bug"

"Ginger the Witch"

"Molly the Pumpkin"

.....Mini wasn't the best at sitting still for a picture, she of course was concerned with the yummy food at the other end of the table! :-)
========================================================================

At the end of the night...we went up to the school where Jeanene teaches at to look at all of the second grader's carved pumpkins. This was really neat.

Healthcare Antiques

I started an antique collection of health care products a while ago. I only had a few things, but for my birthday Joey's Mom had started collecting antiques months before my birthday. Now I have a whole shelf full of really neat antiques! :-) I LOVE it! Thanks Mommy Nanol!

Donate Life

I just got finished registering to be a donor! We were reminded in nursing school this past week during our lecture on organ donation and transplantation how important organ donation really is. We also are taught in school that it helps the family feel that their loved one gave LIFE to many others.

I hope that when I pass away someday I am able to help others and their families, by donating my organs.

It is important for my FAMILY to understand that when I pass away or if brain death occurs, I WISH to donate my organs, otherwise known as an anatomical gift. Please do not hesitate.

I ASK everyone reading this to consider registering. If you do register that isn't a final consent, your FAMILY (next of kin) must give approval for anatomical gift donation; therefore make sure your family knows your wishes!

I encourage you to read this FACTS sheet from the Donor Network of Az..

The Stinky Snuggle Bug....

Our wiener dog is such a cuddle bug, the negative is that she loves to steal the bed. I of course end up with her on my side of the bed because I will put up with it, unlike Joey who has NO tolerance for it. haha

Her snugly trait is demonstrated by the comical pictures above. I just happened to capture her on camera being her self. So CUTE!
